Biography of artist Lorenzo Muriedas
Lorenzo Muriedas was
born January 1, 1959 in Havana, Cuba. Since childhood, Lorenzo showed a deep
inclination towards the arts, participating in various painting competitions
along its primary, secondary and pre-university. He attended and graduated from the
Polytechnic Institute "Jose Antonio Echeverria" chemical engineering
in 1987 and worked as an engineer in the film industry until 1994.Lorenzo was a
great student of master painters such as Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin, Salvador
Dali, Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, Pablo Picasso, and many more. All his work
is artistic and creative and spontaneous self. He attended various courses
between 1988 and 1990 in the National Art School (ENA), as well as conferences
and seminars at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) ... art institution would
have loved to graduate as top-level about the artist. He belonged to the
Hermanos Saiz Association, participating in exhibitions and art
sales of that association from 1984 to 1993. He also served as assistant art in
various arts video productions as contemporary Cuban artists: Ever Fonseca,
Zaida del Río, Flora Fong, Nelson Dominguez and Roberto Fabelo. In the late
90's had a very strong inclination to poetry for him poetry and painting had a
close relationship so he decided to devote some time to poetry. It currently
has over 300 poems finished between sonnets and free poetry-themed social sense
and love. Lorenzo participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Cuba
and now in the U.S.
